2008 Season The Affair
Code Black will be performing a show entitled
"The Affair" to various musical selections from "Serenada Schizophrana" by Danny
Elfman and Ahn Trio.
WGI News Review:
"Having conquered the
Independent Open class in their first year of existence in 2007, Houston’s
Code Black (12th Place, 84.80)moved into the
Independent World class this season with “The Affair,” a rousing production set
on vibrant, ornately designed red and orange floor. As each coordinating flag
color appeared, the performers appeared to get angrier and angrier, the show
reaching a visual crescendo with a flag feature storming the front line."
2007 Season Linear Abstractions
Code Black will be performing a show entitled
"Linear Abstractions" to the musical selections of Ahn Trio.
WGI News Review:
"In their WGI Debut, Code Black (TX, 98.50) won the title and swept all captions with the highest score of any unit at the event. "Linear Abstractions" was performed on a floor that was a beautiful abstract painting in shades of blue, purple, and pink. The breathtaking production featured several simultaneous vocabularies of disparate styles, but just like an abstract painting, all the elements blended together perfectly to make it work. A masterfully performed flag feature near the ending received a standing ovation from the audience even before the show was over."
