family, and playing with my cat, Talula Belle and Yorkshire Terrier, Kylie.

Most Memorable Memory: The first time I had ever seen drum corps
was in 1997 in Houston. This was the summer before my freshman year and our
summer band camp had just ended. The previous two weeks of fundamentals was the
extent of my colorguard marching experience. As I watched the corps performances
I was absolutely mesmerized. I remember thinking to myself how perfect
everything was and no one ever messed up or ever dropped anything. Several of my
upper classmates knew some of the performers; I was in awe that my peers knew
someone with so much talent. Through my eyes they were like celebrity-figures or
professionals so I never imagined that it was even possible that I could/would
be performing and much less teaching at this skill level. It's funny to remember
back about things and compare them now that I am on the other side; as well as
to remember that someone else has filled my shoes as the captivated/mesmerized
one.
